Adults' and Children's Financial Services (ACFS) is a pivotal part of the Adult and Children Social Care Pathways. ACFS is responsible for facilitating and overseeing the payment to providers of Adult and Children's Social Care and for the collection of client contributions in accordance with Care Act 2014 and local policy. Adult Social Care covers people receiving care in their own house (non-Residential) or people who are living in a care home (Residential). We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic people to join our existing service as an Assistant Finance Officer. It is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy, fast paced team responsible for delivering our payment and billing functions across social care. We have a part-time 24 hours a week vacancy for a permanent Assistant Finance Officer on the Residential team. This role is hybrid working where you will need to attend our office in Stafford (currently one day a week plus occasional meetings) and more often, working from home.Main Responsibility The role is principally responsible for administrative tasks relating to the accurate and timely processing of Adult Social Care charges. This involves accurate billing of charges to care recipients and payments to care providers, managing system records and liaison with financial representatives. You will provide operational support to Finance Officers and other colleagues, as well as collaborating with internal stakeholders to continuously improve our processes and provide excellent customer service.
