Job Title: Financial Planning & Analysis Assistant Accountant
Location: Warton. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: £41,361+ depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the Senior Business Performance Accountant with the financial reporting processes end to end: reviewing inputs, consolidation of financial data and preparing analysis
- Supporting the Half year and Full year Statutory reporting process and provide support to external audit during these periods
- Assisting the Monthly/Quarterly Financial Reporting process comparing actuals to budget and analysis of key risk & opportunities
- Providing support to Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process
- Assist in identifying process and data improvements, fostering a continuous improvement mind set. Contribute to FP&A modernization efforts to enhance standardization, efficiency, and effectiveness
- Supporting with ad hoc queries and reporting requirements from various stakeholders within E&I
Your skills and experiences:
- Part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) actively working towards qualification
- Proficient in Advanced Excel skills – e.g Pivot tables, VLookups, Charts & Graphs etc.

The E&I FP&A Team:
Within the Finance function, Financial Planning and Analysis teams are responsible for leading the delivery of high quality and forward-looking financial analysis and insights to the business. The FP&A team work alongside other finance capabilities to drive the enhancement of key business processes, working towards establishing data driven and digitally enabled performance reporting to meet the future business needs.
Our role within the Business Performance area of FP&A is key in supporting the Business Area Leadership Teams, providing key insights to enable better decision making and prompt important discussions.
This role is a fantastic opportunity to help drive change and improvement along with supporting the team in thinking how we can do things differently. You will have a unique role in being able to see the overall view of business areas you support and the opportunity to assist the Senior FP&A accountant in the delivery of the financials.
