Full Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Headteacher support the Headteacher in the overall leadership and management of the school/centre. The successful candidate will help ensure the delivery of high-quality education, maintain a positive learning environment, and oversee the implementation of school policies and procedures. The role may involve leading specific areas of the curriculum, overseeing staff, and managing pupil outcomes.,

  • Support the Head of School and Deputy Headteacher (DHT) in leading curriculum innovation and design appropriate for our cohorts and in line with the school vision
  • Support the Head of School and DHT in leading on the effective implementation of the curriculum
  • Put provision in place to ensure that progress of pupils improves
  • Ensure that the school carries out its statutory responsibilities regarding all pupils with an EHCP
  • Support where necessary with identified EHCP reviews
  • Chair EHCP Review Meetings where necessary
  • Support all staff in understanding the needs of SEN pupils
  • Promote a culture and practices that enables all pupils and young people to access the curriculum
  • Support Head of School and DHT in monitoring progress of pupils and young people
