Full Job Description
A new position has been created to help support the Deputy Hotel Services Manager at the Freeman Hospital. We are looking for a motivated individual who thrives on challenges and being able to make a difference. You will provide direct support to the Department Manager and Deputy manager and to deputise in their absence as necessary over the full range of duties. Assist in motivating and leading a large workforce with supporting the delivery of a quality Hotel Services in the Trust always ensuring that National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021 are met.

- 37 Hours 30 Minutes/Week - this will be flexible. You will need to work some nights and weekends

- Ensuring the availability and regular supply of linen to end users across the Royal Victoria Infirmary site and any sites managed within the community
- To provide advice support and supervision to all staff within the department, ensuring flexibility to cover all shift patterns
- Support staff to complete all statutory / Mandatory training and lead the completion of staff Appraisals
- Assist with Recruitment for the department, keeping in line with budgets and take a lead on the Induction process and on Job training for all staff
- Liaise with services users, IPCN and Patient services for all matters that involve the Department
- Conduct and attend meetings, both in person and virtually on behalf of the department
Our staff oversee around 6,500 patient contacts every day, delivering high standards of healthcare from the following sites: - Freeman Hospital
- Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI)
- Health Innovation Neighbourhood (on the former Newcastle General Hospital and Centre for Ageing and Vitality site)
- Newcastle Dental Hospital
- Newcastle Fertility Centre
- Northern Centre for Cancer Care, North Cumbria
- Northern Genetics Service
- Cramlington Manor Walks These include a range of flagship services which deliver cutting-edge care (supported by state-of-the-art diagnostic services in both radiology and pathology) and are a catalyst for innovation to support pioneering clinical practice in the NHS. We also have offices at Regent Point in Gosforth and community sites.
