Full Job Description

We are delighted to be advertising a permanent post within Woodfield Child Development Service (WCDS). We are looking for a psychology graduate who is keen to develop their skills in the area of child development and neurodiversity. The post is within a large dynamic multi-disciplinary service which has developed close working links with other local agencies. The service provides assessment and intervention for children with complex neurological conditions and developmental differences, delay / disorders. There will be opportunities for the post holder to be involved in undertaking specialist diagnostic assessments. Other opportunities in this post include being involved in teaching/ training, undertaking service audits and small-scale research / service evaluation. Previous experience in the area of child development / neurodiversity is desirable however applications are welcomed from candidates who are interested and motivated to engage in this area of clinical work. Supervision and support will be provided by the clinical psychologist within the service., We understand that the AP posts are competitive and can close early, however, we really value our Assistant Psychologist role and want to ensure that the individual joining our team is dedicated to aligning with our ethos of taking the time to consider those we work with in depth.
