Assistant School Business Manager

Are you well organised and with strong administrative skills? Great Western Academy is seeking to add someone like you to our administrative team by recruiting an Assistant Business Manager. This role is being created now that the Academy has grown to capacity since opening in 2018.

The role is being created to split the workload of the current Business Manager, which has grown beyond the original expectation. In particular, we want the successful applicant to lead the Academy's recruitment strategy and to act as the manager for some of our main front office team. This will require clear thinking, creativity, calmness under pressure, and strong leadership and team-working skills. The successful candidate will also support our Business Manager in other aspects of their work, so providing valuable experience for future possible career progression. Opportunities to study for School Business Management or similar courses will also be supported.

You will join a vibrant and effective office environment, where reception staff, our attendance officer, our finance and HR teams, the PA to SLT and our trips and visits lead share a large and well-resourced front office. This team contributes significantly to the success of Great Western Academy, whose students have achieved excellent outcomes at GCSE and A-level since opening.
