Full Job Description

We are currently in the market to recruit multiple Assistant Wastewater (Hydraulic) Modellers into our London Team for a variety of major long-term frameworks across the UK. RPS work on a range of long-term programmes across the UK water industry. As we move towards AMP8, this is an exciting time to be working in the water industry, and collaborating with passionate organisations, gives our people the opportunity to create positive change.,

  • Assist in developing and calibrating hydraulic models using InfoWorks ICM.
  • Participate in data collection, management, and analysis for various wastewater projects.
  • Contribute to preparing technical reports, presentations, and project documentation.
  • Support the development of solutions to manage urban drainage, improve water quality, and control pollution.
  • Provide technical support to clients, addressing their inquiries and feedback.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, standards, and new technologies in wastewater modelling to foster innovation.
  • Engage in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of modelling processes and methodologies.

  • Relevant experience in the water industry.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is expected.
  • Knowledge of modelling software (InfoWorks ICM) and GIS systems (preferably MapInfo, ArcGIS, QGIS).
  • Skilled in manipulating, handling, and analysing large datasets.
  • Experience with bespoke software and programming such as FME, Visual Basic, and Power BI is beneficial.
  • A general understanding of and interest in the UK water industry.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills., Preferably degree qualified in a relevant technical subject. Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
