Mission of the department

AACB's Operations in London specialise in the post-transaction management of both exchange traded and OTC derivative positions. Key processes include trade allocation and market reconciliations, cash and position reconciliations, regulatory reporting, corporate actions and invoicing. Additionally, Operations UK manages the physical and cash delivery of a wide range of derivative products including, commodities, currencies, debt instruments, and emissions.

Derivatives Clearing Operations is comprised of four distinct groups.

  • Client Operations - manages trade related client queries and services

  • Trade Processing - services client positions and brokerage invoicing, releases regulatory reports, and manages derivative settlements and physical deliveries. Monitors real-time CCP reconciliations, and is responsible for trade allocation, break resolution, and give ups.

  • Control - performs post-trade date reconciliations of trades, positions, cash and fees.

  • Operational Change Support - serves as the central point of contact for the promotion, tracking, and user acceptance testing of software and market related changes, inclusive of new development, enhancements to existing software, and bug fixes.

    Core Activities
  • Produce all daily position, transaction, cash and fee reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Effectively communicate breaks and issues, and ensure an efficient escalation and resolution process throughout the organisation globally.

  • Ensure that all items on the reconciliations are narrated and passed to the relevant parties, investigated promptly and that errors are duly corrected within acceptable timeframes.

  • Ensure the department remains compliant with relevant internal and external regulation

  • Bachelor degree, a plus

  • Junior level of experience in a professional working environment

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Knowledge of scripting, a plus
