Full Job Description

If you have a passion for design and an enthusiasm for architecture and sustainable building design, Arup is the place for you. In this role you will apply your engineering expertise to shape our projects while leading multi-disciplinary design teams to deliver our data centre projects from feasibility to completion. You will have a background in the field of mechanical building services design with experience across a range of project scales and building types, demonstrating commercial awareness and the ability to develop successful client relationships. You will also play a part in the ever-increasing digital transformation of our business, seeking new ways to increase our efficiency through automation and to offer new services to our clients through our integrated digital approach to design. The Manchester Building Engineering Services team are currently working on a wide range of projects across a number of sectors such as the North Manchester Hospital, Manchester Town Hall, Manchester Arena redevelopment and Liverpool Football Club, meaning you get to see your vision and design come to life.

  • BSc qualified in Mechanical Services Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Have achieved Chartered Engineer status via an appropriate professional institution such as IMechE or CIBSE (or international equivalent).
  • Excellent design and technical skills and experience in design analysis software.
  • Experience of working within a BIM environment using Revit with knowledge of parametric design is beneficial.
  • Familiar with managing small teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
