Associate Trainer Roles at Brathay Trust
We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled outdoor professionals to join our associate pool from Spring 2025.
This is a great opportunity to join our experienced and effective team delivering quality outdoor provision in the heart of the Lake District. The Brathay Trust has been delivering outdoor learning with a lifelong impact since 1946. We run a variety of programmes for groups ranging from primary school residentials, apprentice and graduate groups and community groups.
Successful candidates will have a full induction covering the key elements of Brathay's Core Approach and technical upskill on our on-site activities.
Salary is: daily rates programme dependent
We are looking for applicants to have a selection of the following NGBs:
- Essential:
- Paddle sport leader or equivalent BCU or UKCC awards
- Mountain Leader Award (summer)
- First Aid Certificate (16 hours)
- Desirable:
- PCV/D1 driving licence - For vehicle insurance purposes, ideally you should be at least 21 years of age and have held a full, driving licence for at least one year
- Single Pitch Award or Rock Climbing Instructor
- Powerboat level 2
- Safeguarding level 2
- An advanced Paddle sport award
- RYA Safety Boat or Powerboat Instructor
- BC Paddle Sport Leader
- MTA Summer Mountain Leader
