Are audits your thing? Do you love following a set process? If this sounds like you, then we have the perfect opportunity to join NHS Shared Business Services as an Assurance Officer! As assurance officer, you will work closely with all department leads, coordinating annual audit programmes, making sure everyone is informed of the progress and all audit programmes run smoothly and minimal delays are caused. You will be responsible for the action tracker for all ISO standards, any actions from internal or external audits will need to be tracked and you will need to make sure the action is completed on time. You will act as point of contact and subject matter expert, providing support, guidance and coordination for the full enterprise in relation to all assurance topics. Being part of the team, you will be supported by more senior members and managers from day one, where sharing experiences and knowledge will support your development to become a well-rounded Assurance Officer! This is hybrid role, predominantly based from home, travelling to our Town Quay, Southampton office fortnightly. This office offers breathtaking views, free car parking and a variety of desk structures to suit all working ways. What you'll be doing:

  • Liaising with collaborators within NHS SBS and third-party suppliers
  • Running reports, extracting data, and analysing the data, as the service requires, often using spreadsheets, dashboards, and statistical techniques.
  • Responding to, and resolving queries received into the shared mailbox
  • Supporting line manager and team members as required.
  • Ensuring that agreed timescales are adhered to.
  • Following regulatory requirements where applicable.

  • Articulate and able to develop good working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to use initiative and exercise good judgement.
  • Numerate and able to process complex data.
  • Flexible manner and approach.
  • Good understanding of Risk Management and Audit methodology.
  • It would be great if you had:
  • ISO system management experience.
  • ISO auditing experience.
  • Enterprise Risk Management Experience or Qualification.
  • Audit Experience or Qualification.
