Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced Attendance Officer. The successful applicant will work with key staff to reduce levels of unauthorised pupil absence and promote whole-school attendance strategies to manage a positive attendance and punctuality culture here at Norton Canes High School., You will have daily contact with pupils, parents and staff and therefore must have the ability to relate effectively to all adults and young people. Support to pupils:

• To work directly with individuals or groups to raise self-esteem and confidence of students with a view to improve personal and social skills.
• Supporting parents and students in crisis, liaising with identified personnel.
• To arrange for units of work and/or specific skills development with individual pupils to be provided.
• To monitor the progress of these pupils.
• Adjusting pupil timetables in conjunction with the pastoral team
• Conducting home visits to students with long term absence (driving licence essential)
  
  Salary: £24,790 pro rata
Actual salary: £15,054 - Term Time only. 25 hours per week. 45.05 weeks per year.
