The 12-bedded Dragonfly Unit is based in Carlton Colville, Lowestoft and is for age 13-17 year old young people requiring admission whilst receiving inpatient mental health treatment., As a Clinical Support Worker, you will be a vital member of the team who will be enthusiastic, resilient, sensitive, and passionate about providing the best care to our service users. As a Support Worker you will be an essential member of the team bringing us your personal skills and experience of caring for people to provide activity, personal support, complete observations and engage with people. However most importantly and in keeping with our Trust values of Positively, Respectfully and Together, we are looking for someone who has exceptional people and communication skills. If you want to make a difference in people's lives and change it for the better, we want you to be part of our fantastic team!, On a daily basis, you will be working closely with other Clinical Support Workers, Registered Nurses, and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure our service users are receiving the care they require but also apply your creativity to make each day spent in hospital meaningful and purposeful. For this role, your duties will include:
- Having a good understanding of mental health diagnoses and presentation including appropriate boundaries
- Undertaking therapeutic observations of all service users
- Supporting service users on a 1:1 basis who may require varying levels of support
- Undertaking physical management of violence and aggression training to manage challenging situations
- Take service users on leave from the unit

Please ensure that this is completed within the set time scale. This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £13 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
