Full Job Description

E&B offers interventions within Getting More Help and Risk Support quadrants of the Thrive Model. This includes short to medium-term, and longer-term therapeutic work with children, young people and their parents. The interventions will range from group work, work with parents/parental couple and carers, consultations to professional network, training and other interventions within the CAMHS wider system.

The role will encompass clinical, professional and developmental aspects, requiring the post holder to work in close collaboration with colleagues. The post holder will help promote and maintain the role of assistant mental health clinicians across the disciplines within the team, and through development and supervision manage complex clinical presentations.

The post holder will provide generic input into the E&B (Emotional and Behavioural) Team under the supervision of a senior clinician. This will include professional and practice development, ensuring high quality client-centered evidence based care is delivered. The post holder will maintain high standards of care and practice and take on a greater range of clinical tasks to improve client care in the specialist CAMH service. The post holder will have access to clinical supervision and support across all the disciplines.

We are looking for a confident aspiring CAMHS professional with a demonstrable track record of providing good quality evidence based interventions, improving service quality with a strong interest in service development.

You will be required to have completed a good undergraduate degree meeting eligibility for a professional training Clinical Psychology, Child Psychotherapy and Systemic Family Therapy. You will have access to supervision from a senior clinician from the discipline you intent to train. There are also opportunities to access NHSE funding for pre-clinical training and EDI bursaries to support access for colleagues from disadvantaged groups.

Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive - so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.

The post holder will have access to CPD opportunities and will be supported to become an established CAMHS clinician able to provide competent and comprehensive mental health assessment, risk management plans, consultations and interventions for young people experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties.
