Full Job Description

Are you looking for an exciting new role as a clinical trials administrator? We have a fantastic opportunity for 2 candidates to join the Respiratory Research team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. The post will offer the successful candidates the opportunity to gain experience in clinical research from set up to completion and to develop an understanding of the importance that research makes to the care and treatment of our patients. The post holders will be responsible for the day to day running of research studies including screening of potential patients, recruiting patients into studies according to agreed protocols, assisting in the informed consent process and management of all the study related data., The post holders will join the respiratory research team based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and responsible for supporting the research staff. They will be responsible for providing data management, and research administrative support, as needed for clinical study activities.

The post holders will be expected to contribute to databases for clinical studies and registries of research patients for local and national research projects.

This will require the post holders to combine their IT knowledge with knowledge of the clinical research process.

The post holders will have the opportunity to develop clinical skills and work alongside the delivery team.

The post holders will require excellent communication skills and will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
