Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team of Rotational Clinical Pharmacists.
The successful candidate will gain a wide range of experience in clinical specialties including: Medicine, Surgery, Care of the Elderly and Acute Admissions and in rotations through Medicines Information, Technical and patient services.
The role includes:
Providing pharmaceutical care to patients from admission to discharge on the wards.
Participating in the multi-disciplinary team at ward level.
Day to day working with the Medicines Management Technicians.
Providing prescribing advice and support to junior medical staff.
Educating patients about their medicines.
Participation in clinical audit., The department has excellent links with the University of Hertfordshire and opportunities are available for rotational clinical pharmacists to undertake the Joint Programmes Board (JPB) clinical diploma, supported and mentored by our highly skilled team., With a new hospital planned for Watford and work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital, this is an exciting time to join us.
