Full Job Description

We are looking for a permanent Band 6Speech and Language Therapist to join our innovative, friendly and well-supported team working with children and young people in community settings across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Our inclusive and nurturing team will support your CPD through a variety of activities and training. You will regularly meet with a small group of colleagues and wider team members to share best practice and learning. You will experience a positive and forward- thinking environment ready to help develop your career. We have a thorough induction programme which includes a buddy system and structured supervision., The post holder will be responsible for the following elements of service delivery:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis and intervention approaches for children with communication, and where appropriate, eating and drinking needs.
  • Provide effective caseload management for identified caseloads. Provide mentorship, advice and learning opportunities for other Speech and Language Therapy colleagues.
  • Contribute to whole service improvements .and demonstrate leadership skills
  • The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring Practice is safe, effective and of high quality within a productive use of the resource, maintaining effective communication across multi-agency and multi-disciplinary teams whilst managing caseloads and delivering work to specific timescales. The post holder will Demonstrate an awareness of the national and local strategic context and their relationship with Speech and Language Therapy Service delivery. Demonstrating the potential for leadership. Demonstrating skills in wider service improvement.
