Full Job Description
- The post holder is responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for critically ill adults and post-operative patients in their care in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary They will act as an effective clinical role model.
- The Post holder will use specialist knowledge obtained through relevant post registration courses in caring for critically ill
- The post holder is expected to supervise junior staff and to teach qualified and unqualified
- To maintain a safe clinical environment conducive to patient care.
- To promote excellence in nursing practice and development of high level clinical skills in Intensive care and Surgical High Dependency Unit
- 1st or 2nd level registration
- Intensive Care Course
- Relevant ITU experience following ITU course
- Management experience within area of specialty
- Mentored course members, junior nurses or student nurses
- Demonstrate ability to manage a group of ITU patients independently
- Teaching and Mentoring Skills
- Evidence of recent self-development ideally Diploma / Degree
