Full Job Description

The post holder will be embedded in a large supportive multidisciplinary team comprising of speech & language therapists, physiotherapists, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors and skilled support staff. You will be working as part of a large and supportive therapy team with excellent training and development opportunities as well as a robust supervision and appraisal system. Within the SLT service there are well-established CPD and supervision structures and you will be encouraged to take part in service development projects as appropriate. You will be joining at an exciting time with expansion of the our inpatient FEES service.

We are looking for a passionate, autonomous and highly driven Band 7 speech and Language therapist to join the Stroke Rehabilitation team at Moseley Hall hospital. Experience of working with adults with complex acquired disorders of communication and swallowing, relating to Stroke or Neurology is essential., You will have keyworker responsibility, deliver training and be expected to represent the stroke service at trust wide events. Therefore, excellent communication skills and an open and flexible approach to work duties is essential. You will line manage and provide supervision to more junior speech and language therapists, students and support staff/assistants.
