An exciting opportunity is available for a Kidney Cancer Clinical Nurse specialist (CNS)to join our well established nursing team. The post holder will deliver specialist kidney cancer nursing to patients undergoing surgical treatment. This role will be key to delivering world class care for patients undergoing surgery for kidney cancer and benign disease. Working with the existing clinical team to provide excellent clinical care and education.
The Specialist Kidney Cancer Centre at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is a well-established specialist surgical centre. We are seeking to recruit an exceptional individual with vision and passion to support the development of the surgical nursing service. This is a 12-month fixed term contract (37.5 hours per week) and may ideal as a secondment opportunity for a nurse wishing to develop their experience as a clinical nurse specialist.
Informal visits are encouraged and welcomed., This role is to facilitate the provision of high-quality specialist nursing care to patients with kidney cancers and benign disease throughout the patients surgical pathway. The role will include the provision of advice, counselling and supportive care to patients and their families. The primary focus is to ensure patients are adequately prepared for their surgical procedures, in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary teams in acute care and in close liaison with the Primary Care providers.
The post holder will be expected to liaise appropriately with all key members of the multi-disciplinary team and service users related to kidney cancer as part of the specialist kidney cancer service. In addition, the post holder will be required to liaise with their peers across the Trust, the directorate management team and appropriate corporate directorates and teams. The post holder will be expected to liaise with colleagues external to the Trust and London Cancer.

£54,320 to £60,981 a year per annum inclusive of HCAS
