Demonstrate compassion, empathy and sensitivity whilst providing an appropriate level of care for patients with acute and chronic, complex presentations (which may include victims of torture, mental health patients, etc.). Triage referrals to ensure every patient is appropriate to the Musculoskeletal Outpatient Service in accordance with the triage guidelines. Independently refer to a variety of other health agencies (e.g., other Physiotherapy Specialties, Podiatry, Biomechanics etc.) ensuring seamless care where possible. This may also include joint multi-disciplinary assessment. Work autonomously to manage and prioritise own caseload, managing clinical risk (such as screening for red flags) with appropriate support from more senior staff. To use assessment findings in conjunction with recognised clinical reasoning models to formulate a diagnosis, develop a treatment plan and patient specific goals.
