Full Job Description
As Bank Reconciliation Assistant, you'll complete reconciliations for a number of designated bank accounts. You'll work closely with the wider BSU team to deliver the best service, accurate and quality reporting in a timely manner, and adhering to governance requirements. Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Analyse and categorise bank statement transactions
- Reconcile the accounts for the reconciliations that are assigned to you
- Ensure all unreconciled items are investigated and resolved within SLA.
- Root cause analysis undertaken to understand issues and propose solutions for resolution.
- Work with relevant stakeholders to resolve outstanding items including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury and Record to Report and other relevant teams.
- Maintaining an appropriate control environment, understanding the responsibility for compliance and risk management.
Previous reconciliation experience is essential - An ability to interrogate / analyse large data sets
- Previous Oracle / SAP / ERP experience
- Identify risks ensuring a 'no surprise' approach is adopted ensuring issues are highlighted
- Resilient and adaptable to change
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
