Bed Manager

An exciting opportunity has been created within a developing and expanding Patient Flow Team for a Bed Manager (Band 6 RN) who has an interest in the flow of patients within a busy acute NHS Trust. You will need to have an understanding of the A&E government targets and current issues that can affect the timely flow of patients through the hospital. The post holder will assist in the efficient and effective management of bed resources within the Trust. The provision of an effective service encompassing all Directorates is essential to successful patient flow across the Trust. Good communication and organisational skills are essential to this role., The main objective of the role is to facilitate placement of emergency and urgent admission requests, whilst recognising the importance of elective work. The role will also require organisation of all internal transfers and repatriations to and from other Trusts.
