The recruitment team at the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS) are delighted to be able to offer a fantastic opportunity for a friendly and enthusiastic individual to join our team here within Southampton children's hospital., + Co-ordinate all admissions and transfers for the children's hospital between UHS and referring DGH's
+ Maintain an effective system for identifying the availability of beds to ensure that fluctuations in demand, clinical priorities and emergency admissions are dealt with effectively and efficiently
+ Attend the daily site coordinator bed meetings and other care group meetings as required
+ To manage effectively and efficiently the use of beds within the Southampton Children's Hospital
What experience/skills are needed:
+ You will need to have excellent administrative and organisational skills
+ Prior NHS knowledge
+ Confident approach in communication with multidisciplinary teams
+ The ability to work independently and problem solve
We are currently looking for the below shift pattern
Week 1- Wednesday & Friday
Week 2- Saturday & Sunday
Week 3- Tuesday & Wednesday

We are looking for someone with fantastic communication skills and an eye for problem solving to join our Bed Management team.
This is a fast paced role integral to supporting operational delivery of both elective and emergency pathways for patients requiring the children's hospital services. You will manage the bed availability across the Children's Hospital working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
We are looking for someone who can be flexible and work over a 4 week shift pattern.
The Child Health bed managers currently provide a 7 day service covering the hours of 07:00-20:00
