Full Job Description
We are currently looking for a dedicated bid professional with a talent for crafting compelling and successful proposals. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our business development efforts, working closely with talented colleagues to produce compelling bids that set us apart. - Monitoring Tender Portals - Reviewing opportunities we receive through our frameworks and the Find a Tender Service with the Bid Director.
- Drafting Quality Responses - Compiling responses to quality questions we receive in bid opportunities and working with technical staff to ensure they are bespoke and of a high quality.
- Formatting Bid Documents - Working to create compelling documents with text, graphics and images using our templates.
- Co-ordinating Bid Submissions - Working to develop actions and timelines for all involved in a bid submission including the bid team and technical staff.
- Completing SSQs - Providing our company information on Standard Selection Questionnaires including information on our certifications, registration numbers and answers to mandatory exclusion questions.
- Bid Director Cover - Full cover for the submission of bids when the Bid Director is absent working with the Bid Assistant.
- Bid Database - Supporting with the tracking of our feedback both on quality and price in bid submissions to assist with lessons learned and improvements.
- Content Library - Supporting with the developing of stock answers, data sheets, CVs and graphics.
- Brand Guardian - Ensuring what we submit is in line with our brand guidelines, working with the Marketing team as necessary.
Proven track record of Bids or related field that will demonstrate the duties can be carried out as stated. - Good IT literacy; particularly on Word but also Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear articulation of bid proposals and effective communication with colleagues, including Partners, senior staff, clients, and framework providers.
- Enthusiastic outlook, generating innovative ideas for improvement and bringing a passion for growing the company through new business opportunities.
- Previous experience in bid management, proposal writing, or a related field is desired. Experience within the construction industry is advantageous.
