As a BIW (Body-in-White) CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of body structure components for automotive applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and CAE, to ensure efficient and cost-effective solutions that meet performance and safety requirements.,

• 3D CAD Design & Modelling of BIW components using software like CATIA V5
• 2D Drawing & GD&T application for manufacturing feasibility.
• Develop lightweight and crashworthy BIW structures.
• Work on welded assemblies, press-formed panels, extrusions, and castings.
• Ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturing) & DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
• Collaborate with CAE, tooling, and manufacturing teams to optimize designs.
• Work with suppliers on material selection and manufacturing processes (e.g., stamping, joining techniques).
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards (e.g., Euro NCAP, FMVSS).
• Support design reviews, FMEA, and problem-solving initiatives.
  
  Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Automotive, or similar).
• 3+ years of experience in BIW CAD design within the automotive industry.
• Strong proficiency in CATIA V5.
• Knowledge of stamping, welding, riveting, and adhesive bonding processes.
• Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and technical drawings.
• Understanding of crashworthiness, NVH, and structural durability considerations.
• Good communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration.
