Full Job Description

Supervision of all Facility blending and Warehouse staff including training, evaluating performance, providing daily instruction including prioritizing and assigning work and providing direction –and determining disciplinary actions when necessary. Works in a multi BU environment, supporting customers across all Divisions. Blends customer orders within specific order guidelines and by specified due date including blending initial batch, making shade adjustments, filling and labelling batches. Makes shade, gloss and viscosity adjustments to meet customer requirements and Facility colour guideline. Prepares spray out and draw down test panels. Establishes and maintains accurate customer work order files and formulas. Establishes and maintains accurate customer master data files. Distributes activities between teams and individuals according to variations in activities / set daily objectives. Monitors the performance and output of the team and re assigns production tasks and inputs to ensure that production specifications and schedules; volume, cost, and wastage targets; and quality standards are met.

  • Assists with the training and supervision of Facility Blending Operators as directed.
  • Maintain sufficient inventory by ordering products and managing out-of-stock/over-stocked products.
  • Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records; retrieve stored information; place orders.
  • Respond to internal and external enquiries (for example on inventory levels or delivery schedules).
  • Supervise shipping and receiving functions.
  • Ensure back room is organized to support receiving, storing and shipping of stock.
  • Check in-coming merchandise against bills of loading and invoice for accuracy.
  • Unload in-coming merchandise from truck.
  • Load orders on truck for customer deliveries as needed.
  • Provide input regarding inventory levels in the warehouse/stockroom.
  • Identify potential damaged/obsolete material and handle per established policy/procedures.
  • Oversee will-calls and proper flow of paperwork.
  • Pull products from sales floor displays and/or stockroom/warehouse.
  • Restock warehouse shelves and sales floor displays with product received from outside vendors and rotate stock per batch dates.
  • Ensure deliveries are prepared to meet customer requirements in the most efficient manner.
  • Ensure appropriate forms are completed for hazardous material deliveries.
  • Locate out-of-stock items as necessary.
  • Operate all material handling, tinting, mixing and testing equipment in a safe manner.
  • Clean and complete basic repairs/mentenance Facility equipment as necessary.
  • Establish maintenance schedule for all equipment.
  • Identify equipment problems and make recommendations.
  • Ensure merchandise has been processed correctly prior to merchandise leaving the facility.
  • Maintain facility to SW standards through proper maintenance, repair and housekeeping.
  • Identify facility problems and recommend solutions to manager.
  • Follow designated loss prevention, security and safety practices according to policy and correct or report non-compliance of appropriate procedures/policies.
  • Take immediate action to contain spillage using hazardous material containment procedures as outlined in the Work Safe Manual, including proper and timely reporting.
  • Perform other routine clerical activities as required according to the organization's established procedures. These activities may include answering telephones; updating stock cards and inventory records; and completing receipt, transfer, delivery, and dispatch forms and any other reasonable tasks requested by line manager.
  • Handling obsolete goods and preparing relevant paperwork for disposal/recycling (depending on location)
  • Preparation of waste loads associated paperwork(depending on location) and maintaining and enforcing 6s standards.
  • Report & investigate any claims associated with damaged goods (internal/external deliveries)
  • Raise Purchase Orders based on stock level/requirements with internal/external supplier
  • Coaches and mentors less experienced workers to help them use production equipment or resolve problems. Ensures the follow up of the work schedules, in accordance with the specifications, norms and standards. Carries out checks on operating procedures and products (checking compliance with standards carrying out 'field trips'). Performs basic maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot problems, or arrange for equipment to be repaired or serviced by appropriate technicians. Identifies potential obsolete/damaged material and handle per established policy/procedures. Determines where to use rework, when applicable and adjust inventory. Maintains facility to Company standards through proper maintenance, repair and housekeeping. Maintains 6S standard across Facility. Follows Waste Minimization Plan, PSR Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Hazardous Material Handling Procedures, and all other safety procedures as outlines. Knows stock limits and be familiar with stock order procedure. Maintains accurate daily production records for the team or group so that manufacturing performance can be analysed. Follows designated loss prevention, security and safety practices according to policy and correct or report non compliance of appropriate procedures/policies. Be the link between the different departments; Sales, CRM, Logistics and other groups. Makes the direct treatment of the daily entries in batches. (Closing OF...) Ensures compliance with the procedures in lace for handling hazardous materials.
