Full Job Description

Location: the location is to be city wide, the role will initially be based at Hillsborough Library with Central Area Sheffield. However, you will be expected to work in any Neighbourhood Team.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Block Cleaner to join the Housing and Neighbourhoods Service within Sheffield City Council.
Are you highly motivated, enthusiastic and keen to assist the residents of Sheffield in keeping Neighbourhoods clean and safe?
We are looking for Block Cleaner to work as part of Sheffield City Council's Housing and Neighbourhood Service, supporting the delivery of a quality Housing Service.
Are you a real people person? Able to work as part of a team? Are you hard working and have good communication skills and deliver excellent customer care? Do you hold a full driving licence, but not essential.
You will need to show a basic understanding of numeracy and literacy skills and will use IT equipment to record your work.
be in a position to carry out the physical demands of the role, which include cleaning, and manual handling of bulky items.
You will need to have the ability to work under pressure, meeting targets and deadlines, maintain accurate records and operate within policy and procedures with good administration skills.
You will work as part of a Neighbourhood housing team working closely with Neighbourhood officers to share intelligence on neighbourhood issues and to liaise with tenants in a courteous and friendly manner.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide pay slip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
