Full Job Description

This role is to learn responsibilities of the business - to support and engage with different parts of the organisation and the warehouse, and interact with internal and external customers.

There is a focus on adding value, the role of business administrator contributes to the efficiency of the organisation, through supporting with the administration of the warehouse and logistics department.

There are elements of this role where the job is hands on and the successful candidate will need to be physically active during the working day.

Day to day duties include:

  • Goods in/ deliveries - receiving, checking and booking in stock

  • Stock control - stock taking

  • Dispatches

  • Supporting with production - meeting production plans through review of build plans, downloading and reviewing bills of materials and supporting with picking goods.

  • Managing faulty returns

  • Liasing and communicating with suppliers and customers

  • Communicating with other departments - design, production and procurement

  • Internal part enquiry management

  • Using SAGE warehouse management software, MS Excel and bar code reader

  • Liaising with internal warehouse and production staff

  • General administrative duties including data entry.

    Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunity to have a full time position within the company and progress onto further qualifications., Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Analytical skills, Logical, Team working, Manual dexterity, Planning and organising, Interested in engineering, Willingness to learn, Positive attitude, Adaptable, Physically fit, GCSE or equivalent English & Maths (Grade 4/C) Essential, There is a bus stop outside the premises and free parking. The applicant must have a positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop their understanding of the manufacturing industry as well as having an interest in business. No prior experience is required.

    Quality Industries Limited (QI Vans) are a leading commercial vehicle conversion company based in Telford and are currently looking to recruit apprentices as part of our strategic growth plan. We design, manufacture and fit-out vehicles.

    This is an 18-month Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship. You will be required to attend Elite Centre for Manufacturing Skills, University of Wolverhampton, Springfield Campus, Grimstone Street,Wolverhampton, WV10 0JP, 2 days per week over a 5-week period as part of the apprenticeship delivery.

  • You will also have monthly assessor visits to see you at the company., You could reduce your training time, or finish your apprenticeship faster, if you have relevant prior learning or experience. This could be relevant:
