Full Job Description
This role will partner with all areas of the business to provide analysis expertise, translating complex requirements into technical specifications, ensuring solutions developed meet the firm's objectives. By analysing business processes and workflows, you will identify areas where efficiency can be improved, and will conduct data analysis and market research to support strategic decision making. What does the role actually involve?
- Leading on the discovery phase of projects, assessing the implications of proposed changes, identifying complementary/contradictory requirements, conducting benefits analysis, and creating business cases to support prioritisation and decision making.
- Working closely with subject matter experts to document existing business processes.
- Reviewing and analysing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and where appropriate, documenting the 'As-Is', 'To Be' and 'Gap'.
- Assisting in conducting research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
- Preparing reports, recommendations, or alternatives for improving processes in operating systems across the business.
- Assisting with translating complex business and technical issues into understandable concepts for all audiences.
- Facilitating communication between stakeholders, application users, technical teams, and external suppliers.
- Liaising with various functions within the business to facilitate implementation of new or improved operational processes, systems, and tools.
- Working closely with colleagues in Technology to identify, develop and implement solutions which align with business requirements, maximise customer value, and provide return on investment.
- Creating process documentation and driving effective process management and governance throughout the firm.
- Staying up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
What technical skills are required for someone to be successful and enjoy the role? - Significant experience eliciting and analysing business and system requirements, business process modelling/mapping (using BPMN), methodology development, data analysis and modelling, and wire frames.
- Demonstrable experience of creating Use cases, User Stories, Activity diagrams, and documenting Acceptance Criteria using MoSCoW.
- Experience developing storyboards and/or proof of concepts based on customer requirements and assisting to convert customer requirements into technical solutions that are both feasible and cost effective, ensuring the quality of the product and customer satisfaction.
- Experience creating Functional and Non-Functional Requirements documents.
- Able to assist with the planning, design, development, testing and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
- Experience working with QA, and assisting with the creation of system test plans, scenarios, and scripts, and guiding the business with BAT.
- Able to work under a formal project delivery methodology such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Excellent IT skills with good understanding and experience of Microsoft Office, Visio, and Azure Dev Ops. Who would be a good fit for this role? As part of the Business Change and Delivery team, you would be expected to have the following skills and experience:
