Full Job Description
We are looking to recruit a talented and inspirational individual to work as part of the Early education and childcare team to support business development and compliance function within the early years sector. You will be working with settings and childminders to review existing practice to ensure that all providers are delivering their funded entitlements in line with the statutory local requirements. Your role will also entail developing tools and delivering business support workshops to enable stakeholders to make informed decisions about the service(s) they provide. The role will include communicating with the Early years sector and identifying key priorities for development across West Northants., You will be working as part of a wider team to support and challenge early years providers to help develop effective and efficient business models and ensure that they are compliant. The role will involve visiting early years providers, reviewing key documents for ensuring providers are compliant, discussing funding models for the funded entitlements and supporting with any changes to practice, identifying any patterns, trends and training needs. You will also work closely with the funding and sufficiency lead to ensure that there is sufficient provision to meet need across West Northants.
You will have experience of working within the Early Education and Childcare sector and of the funding models, You must have sound financial understanding, be conscientious in keeping up to date with local and national developments, understanding the challenges and benefits that these bring to the sector. The ability to build positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders is key to effective practice and the ability to problem solve is essential. You will also have experience of working collaboratively with have excellent communication skills.
