Full Job Description

Our Business Development Managers are responsible for managing a small, assigned portfolio of key accounts and driving new business in order to maintain and grow existing revenues and develop key sales opportunities. The role reports directly to the Head of National Sales and is part of a team based from our Commercial HUB in Rugby-Northampton (NN6 7XR). This role will be based remotely with travel required to our UK properties and Commercial Hub (NN6 7XR). Daily responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the defined national accounts deliver both retention and growth revenue targets.
  • Achieve account targets by identifying opportunities to grow business and enhance profitability from existing key accounts.
  • Development of lapsed, and new pipeline accounts across all segments and focus industry sector.
  • Plan, prepare and proactively participate in monthly sales blitzes to maximise demand generation.
  • Identify and proactively represent Kew Green Hotels at industry events, brand workshops and customer presentations/Fam Trips in order to develop new relationships and markets.

    The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record in Sales or Account Management with ability to grow market share, account penetration and incrementality. Sales experience in large matrix sales and operational organisation (national, regional and local). Proven record of sales tools and technology usage (for example: social media, Merlin, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Insider selling). Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with high level of business/commercial acumen. Willing to travel throughout the UK on a weekly basis, including frequent overnight stays. Understanding of the hotel sector would be an advantage!
