Full Job Description
Swift Specialist Recruitment are seeking a BDM of multimodal freight for a permanent contract within a well established, global logistics company based in the North West, UK. This role will be hybrid working & will suit an individual within a 30 mile radius of Warrington. Requirements:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the multimodal freight forwarding market.
- Develop and execute strategies to expand market share and customer base.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competition, and opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing their logistics needs.
- Achieve sales targets by promoting multimodal freight solutions to prospective clients.
- Develop pricing strategies and negotiate contracts to maximize profitability.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
- Work closely with operations teams to ensure seamless coordination across different modes of transport.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., marketing, finance, and operations) to develop competitive offerings.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, global trade trends, and technological advancements in logistics.
- Provide insights to help shape company policies and services.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business growth and client satisfaction.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on sales performance and market developments.
Proven track record in sales, business development, or account management within freight forwarding or logistics. - Understanding of multimodal transportation, customs regulations, and global trade practices.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Relationship-building skills and customer-centric approach.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office Suite, and logistics management systems.
