  • This role will report into the Engagements Coordination & Issues Management Director (C15) and will be responsible for implementing key processes and establishing adequate governance around Engagement Coordination as Issue Remediation. In addition, the role will be working closely with 1st, 2nd and 3rd LoD teams towards fulfilling the roles and responsibilities related to the above processes. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with a strong understanding of regulations management, associated risks and controls and a keen interest in establishing robust processes, and governance in-line with Citi Client's strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities: Non-Regulatory Engagements Create and continuously maintain a comprehensive, centralized view of the progress of planned non-regulatory engagements with potential impact to Client processes and teams, including planned coverage of internal control functions (e.g. Internal or External Audit, Independent Compliance Risk Management testing, Global Risk Review etc.) where oversight, advisory contribution or independent challenge are needed. Establish a solid network of key stakeholders in control functions to enable effective collaboration and partnership during engagements. Support Client teams by providing credible challenge through-out the key phases of complex reviews performed by control functions and support impacted teams during the formation and of potential findings during reporting. Design and deploy reporting capability to ensure effective and timely communication of progress of these engagements including scope, impact on Client teams and prompt escalation of potential issues. Issue Management (Quality Assurance and Issue Quality Control) Support ICM stakeholders in the creation, drafting and qualitative pre-validation of observations raised on the back of self-identified control gaps, as well as internal or external engagements. Facilitate Issue Management engagement throughout the lifecycle and stages of remediating high severity issues and key programs owned by Client teams. Act as a key resource for Client teams' issue owners to advise and support on the effective design and implementation of key controls remediated through issues. Partner with colleagues to build highly effective relationships across the Client teams to ensure remediation design and implementation is effectively project managed and executed in co-ordination with second and third lines. Design, execute and report to issue owners and Client senior management on the effectiveness of control remediations prior to submission for independent validation by control functions. Establish a solid network of key stakeholders in control functions to enable effective collaboration and partnership during the creation and remediation of issues.

  • Experience in risk, compliance, audit, or related control functions.
  • Project management skills and excellent organizational, multi-tasking skills proven through prior exposure in leading and coordinating audit, conformance, or equivalent assurance type of engagements.
  • Excellent analytical skills when it comes to problem-solving including the ability to identify and address root causes through feasible and effective corrective actions.
  • Ability to 'connect the dots' by identifying issue inter-dependencies and how their impact in addressing root causes and underlying risks holistically.
  • Experience in working with the various risk and control systems and reporting requirements.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging. Professional ability and presence to interact with seniors across all lines of defence.
