Full Job Description

UKHSA provides modern, robust IG (Information Governance), Cyber services and assurance of UKHSA data, information, and records. We do this by enabling the organisation to prepare and respond more effectively to health threats by enhancing the controlled and lawful use of our data and information, building public trust, and safeguarding the reputation of the organisation., The Operations Team support the directorate to achieve their goals through coordination, facilitation, project management, regular reporting, staffing, governance and assurance activities. You will have the opportunity to help shape the future of compliance at UKHSA and, where this is desirable, work across areas that go beyond the immediate parameters of the role., This is an opportunity to support the Cyber and Information Management, Data Governance and Privacy Operations team in a fast-paced environment within a young, but high-profile organisation. As a Business Support Officer you will be:

  • part of a team that supports the Deputy Directors, coordinates activity across the directorate, covers workforce planning, staff development / training, finance, communications, governance, and assurance activities and responds to commissions and supports projects.
  • able to see the bigger picture on all parts of the role and apply logic process and diligence in all you do.
  • a flexible team member, comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments, able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and content to work with other areas in the team when there is a business need.
