Full Job Description

We are looking for an efficient and motivated individual to join our Team as a Business Unit Support Secretary within the Child Health Directorate. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join our busy administrative team to provide secretarial support to the the Management and wider teams. This post is part time 22.5 hours per week. Hours and days to be confirmed at interview. The post base is advertised at North Tyneside General Hospital. Please note we reserve the right to close this vacancy prior to the closing date once the required number of suitable applications have been received., The primary purpose of this role is to Support the Business Unit and Senior Management team within the Child Health Directorate with all administrative and clerical duties.

  • Act up in absence of a Business Unit Secretary for periods of annual leave/short-term sickness absence. This may include additional days cover to support the needs of the service.
  • Manage diaries, arrange/minute meetings, communication with GPs
  • Typing & transcription of meetings, clinical & non-clinical documents.
  • Ensure all Outsourcing tracking, documentation, administration and appointment processing is kept up to date and follow ups are completed appropriately.
  • Resource management - ordering of supplies & equipment
