We currently have a great opportunity for a Care Assistant to join our Care Plus team at The Sandford Nursing Home, Church Stretton, Shropshire on a permanent basis. Various part-time and full-time day and night shifts are available.
The Sandford Nursing Home is a place our residents call home. It's a happy, welcoming atmosphere set amongst the Shropshire hills with luxurious accommodation and expert, nursing-led care and we're looking for caring and supportive individuals to join us. We're looking for a dedicated professional to bring our values to life and ensure our customers receive outstanding services.
The Role
As a Care Assistant, you will work within the nursing team assisting elderly residents with normal activities of daily life promoting their independence and maintaining their dignity and respect.
You will assist residents with all aspects of everyday life this will include assisting with personal hygiene including washing and using the toilet assistance with diet and nutritional requirements as well as helping the promotion and stimulation of mental and physical activity.
The ability to work with in a team and independently.
Previous experience in providing a quality care service for people
A commitment to delivering quality care to vulnerable adults
Excellent verbal, written and face-to-face communication skills
Caring attitude with desire to help and support others
Care home experience is advantageous but not essential
Able to commute within no more than 1 hour distance of the role location
Due to the nature of this post, the role is subject to an Enhanced with Adult Barred DBS disclosure.
