At Choice Care, we provide the best possible care and support for those that need it - including people coming to the end of life, those with dementia, sensory impairment, or physical difficulties - enabling our clients to live their own homes with dignity and enjoy the best possible quality of life. We are a Preferred Provider for Blackburn with Darwen Council, Lancashire County Council, the NHS and Clinical Commissioning Group as well as private clients. We are a family business and have been providing care in the area for 25 years. We prefer face to face training so with a starting hourly rate of £12.60 per hour, you will be trained in our training room by our nurse and experienced carers then start work. But the training doesn't stop there. We believe in making our carers as capable as possible and so your training will continue with continuing professional development in many care related topics., Choice Care was founded in 1999 by husband and wife, Andrew and Fiona Key. With more than 25 years' experience in the health and social care sector, Andrew and Fiona combined their background in nursing with a passion for delivering high-quality home care services in Lancashire along the M65 corridor, that bridge the gap between traditional home care and nursing. Whether it's working directly with private clients and their families or in partnership with social services, Clinical Commissioning Groups, solicitors and health professionals, we strive to provide the best possible care and support for some of the most vulnerable people in our community, tailoring our care services to meet their needs. We work closely with organisations such as East Lancashire Hospice, the Stroke Association, Dementia UK, Parkinson's UK and the MS Society to share resources and make sure our staff are up to date on the latest skills and training. Our team of dedicated carers are all vetted and trained to gain the qualifications they need to help them carve out a long-term career in care. We provide induction training and carers must reach the required level of knowledge in each subject area. They must also complete a number of shifts with a supervisor to make sure they're competent at following care plans and delivering the required level of care. New recruits will also be working on achieving their diploma/NVQ qualification in care, which takes between 6 and 9 months to complete. Join our team of award-winning colleagues If you're passionate about making life better for society's most vulnerable people we'd love to hear from you. We're an equal opportunities employer and encourage applications from people with a drive to learn and progress in the care industry. We believe that being a carer is not just a job, it's a vocation. As a family-run business, we're looking to grow the team with like-minded people who share our values.
