Full Job Description

The successful candidate will play a key role within the whole school team, supporting colleagues and contributing to the vision and ethos of the school.

In the role of caretaker, you will be responsible for securing the school and grounds each day, completing small general maintenance tasks within school and have some cleaning responsibilities. You will also be responsible for performing some weekly mandatory checks. At times, this can be a demanding role with some manual handling and periods of being outside. We are looking for a person who will be committed to supporting the whole school team's high standards of cleanliness, pride in our environment and of safeguarding for all of our children.

As a part of our school team, you will work alongside the Headteacher, Business Manager and cleaning team to provide our school community with an efficient, effective and productive working school which provides a welcoming environment for everyone children, staff, parents, governors and visitors alike.

We are looking to recruit a flexible and highly motivated School Caretaker to join our school family. Initially this will be on a part time basis with the possibility of this developing into a full time role in the future on a split shift basis., We are looking for a person who is calm, courteous and welcoming with a professional approach to all duties, working using their own initiative, with the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work effectively as a team member in a very busy environment., Always put the safety of our school community at the forefront of all that you do
Have high levels of interpersonal and excellent communication skills
Good organisational skills

Work effectively under pressure and to set deadlines
Have the ability to manage own workload
