Location: Ryde, Isle of Wight

Hours: 40 hours per week (8am - 4.30pm), plus out of hours call out on a rota basis

Days: Monday - Friday, plus out of hours call out on a rota basis

Duration: Permanent

Duties:

Responsive repairs and adaptations to occupied and void properties including:
1st fix and 2nd fix carpentry
Install windows, doors, door frames - internal and external.
UPVC servicing and installation
Locksmithing and gaining entry via lock snapping, drilling and picking.
All types of fencing, posts, feather edge, chain link and panels.
Kitchen fitting, kitchen building and minor joinery.
Other duties to include basic plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating and other general maintenance tasks.

Experience:

Must have previous experience from within a similar residential or housing sector role and be qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 2 (or qualified by experience with a minimum 5 years proven track record within Carpentry),
Must have a strong understanding of health and safety and good customer service skills.
Must be able to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team, to schedules.
Must have full driver's licence and be flexible with working hours.
This role will be subject to a DBS clearance.

Salary: £31,500 - 34,650 DOE per annum plus out of hours premium, van and fuel card, iPad and phone, tool allowance, flexible benefits, generous company pension scheme and insurances
