We have flexible shift opportunities at our Dialysis Units in South East Wales for nurses with current NMC Registration and dialysis experience. We have dialysis units in Newport, Cardiff, Llantrisant and Pontypool. Our units operate safe staffing with a protected 3:1 patient to nurse ratio.
As a Casual Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment whilst achieving work-life balance! Comprehensive inhouse training will be provided on B Braun dialysis machines, policies, and practice.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- To provide a high quality standard of patient care
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care needs of patients both pre and post dialysis
- Monitoring and recording patients' vital signs
- Develop and expand theoretical knowledge and practical skills involved in the care of dialysis patients
- Promote and maintain professional relationships with patients and colleagues, including the multi-disciplinary team
In return you will receive:
- Excellent rates of pay: £25 per hour Weekdays & £30 per hour Weekends/Bank Holidays
- Paid breaks
- Free on-site parking
- Option to join the Company pension scheme, if eligible (we will match contribution rates up to a max of 7%)
What you'll need to succeed:
- Dialysis experience
- Dedicated to providing exceptional patient care
- Committed and eager to learn new skills
- An excellent communicator
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Aptitude for acquiring clinical skill techniques
- Flexible to cover the needs of the patients/unit
Hours of work:
- Long Day = 07:00 - 18:30
- Monday to Saturday, No Sunday or night shifts
