Full Job Description

As a wash up Assistant you will…

  • Assist in the serving of lunch according to established menus and recipes.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
  • Following proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
  • Participate in training sessions and meeting related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.

    Ideally have experience working within Education catering
  • Have good Health & Safety knowledge.
  • Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused.
  • Fun and enthusiastic
  • Have excellent organization skills.
  • Demonstrate great attention to detail.
  • Be a team player and enjoy succeeding as a team.

Nestled in the heart of Devon, this prestigious independent school - West Buckland School caters for 650 day pupils including 100 boarders and staff and includes not only a breakfast, lunch and supper service but also an extensive hospitality service. This operates seven days a week.
