Full Job Description
The Cellular Pathology departments at UHSussex East (Brighton) and West (Chichester) are looking for two Pathology Pathway Coordinators (PPC) to join our busy, friendly team.
The Pathology Pathway Coordinators will be responsible for actively managing the administrative processes attached to pathology pathways, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for multidisciplinary teams and patients, delivering a positive patient experience and excellent customer service to both internal and external clients.
This is a 12 month fixed term post. Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Please state within your application your preferred working site (Brighton or Chichester)., The PPC will be the primary contact of multi-disciplinary team (MDT) service users and attend all patient-tracking list (PTL) review meetings to support real-time availability and prioritisation of histopathology reports.
The post holder will be required to work closely with other members of the administrative and clinical teams, including managers, administrators, nursing and medical staff, allied health professionals and support workers, to actively manage the administrative processes attached to pathology pathways
The post holder will be required to liaise with a range of staff internally within the Trust and externally with partners and external organisations, 2) Attend all patient tracking list (PTL) review meetings
3) Responsible for tracking and monitoring all patients on the cancer pathway across UHSussex sites
4) Proactively track cancer pathway cases
5) Updating cancer case spreadsheets
6) Provide required cancer TAT data to meet Trust, SSCA and CCG requirements
7)To be able to develop a good working relationship with the medical staff within cellular pathology to facilitate timely cancer reporting.
