Full Job Description
We are seeking to appoint a Crematorium Supervisor to work within our Bereavement Services Team to work a 36 hour week Monday to Friday + 14 hour contractual overtime per month to cover service requirements.
As the Crematorium Supervisor in the Burials and Cremations team you are responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Cremation Service's and grounds maintenance team including Crematorium Technicians at Thornton and Southport Crematoria and the gardening team at Southport crematorium
As the supervisor you will be expected to take a hands-on approach to crematorium operations at both sites. Sefton sites includes 4 cemeteries, and 2 crematoria, programmed and non-programmed grounds maintenance.
The supervisor role is to provide a caring, sensitive and excellent quality service to members of the public attending the sites and to ensure all operational aspects of the service continue to operate and take responsibility for operational staff management across all sites.
You should also have excellent communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team and independently and ideally hold the cremator technician qualification.
