Full Job Description
Job Title
Chief Financial Officer
Organisation
Housing Plus Group
Job Description
Housing Plus Group is at transformation point, following our merger in January 2025. As a leading provider of housing and care services, this customer focused organisation has the resilience to deliver for communities across our region while being a great place for our people to work and develop themselves. This is a truly pivotal moment for our new organisation, that was created following the merger of Housing Plus Group and The Wrekin Housing Group.
We are now looking for an exceptional Chief Financial Officer to join our newly merged organisation and contribute widely to an ambitious, customer focused Executive Team. Our new Chief Financial Officer will have specific responsibility for inspiring teams across: Finance; Treasury; Audit, Risk & Assurance; Legal & Governance; and Procurement. This is an opportunity to, amongst several other aspects, lead our funding strategy, optimise our financial capacity, provide financial and commercial appraisals of major projects, and deliver continuous improvement to ensure our security, stability and growth.
You will be a fully qualified accountant (CCAB or CIMA) with extensive strategic financial management experience from organisations of significant scale and complexity. Due to the breadth of the role, experience of leading and developing both financial and non-financial teams which support business growth would be advantageous. Your career to date may not have been within the social housing sector, although it's essential to have substantial experience at a strategic level in a complex, regulated and customer-focused business where you will have gained valuable insights into effective governance, funding, treasury and capital markets.
This is a unique and career-enhancing opportunity to join a leading provider of homes which makes a positive difference to our customers' homes, lives and communities. If you require a confidential conversation, please contact our advising consultants at GatenbySanderson:
- Nick Roberts on (nick.roberts@gatenbysanderson.com)
- Simon Wing on (simon.wing@gatenbysanderson.com)
- Delicia Coutinho on (delicia.coutinho@gatenbysanderson.com)
For further information about this role please visit the GatenbySanderson website.
The closing date for applications is 5pm Friday 21st February 2025.
