We welcome applications from people who share our values and can help us deliver outstanding care in our local community., The Paediatric Nurse Advisor will work as part of the children's nursing team to provide holistic review of care needs, nursing interventions, training, education and support to children, young people and their families and carers in 8 identified special educational needs schools within Norfolk and the wider community including , early years provision, respite, community care and in patient's or link families homes., To support and train parents/carers/employees of other organisations such as educational settings, to undertake a range of clinical interventions specific to each child/young person's needs, An opportunity has arisen for a Paediatric Nurse Advisor within the Childrens & Young People's Services. The Paediatric Nurse Advisor service provides a key contact and resource for each of the Complex Needs Schools in Norfolk working closely with the Childrens Community Nursing Team and wider multidisciplinary services.
The role includes:
Providing advice and training for families and school staff and supporting children with complex health needs and disabilities within the school setting on an individual basis.

To provide quality care to children in partnership with families and carers as commissioned and described within the service specification
To effectively communicate complex, sensitive or contentious information with children, parents/carers, professionals and the wider multi-agency ensuring clear understanding is achieved by use of a range of communication methods and skills in an empathetic manner

DBS - If this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and you are not a current employee of Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust or being recruited as an Apprentice then the cost of the DBS check will be automatically removed from your first month's salary. However if you are registered with the update service this may not be required.
