Class 1 Driver - Castleford

As a professional and skilled driver, you will be required to demonstrate professionalism and courteous conduct to our customers.

As a driver within our Castleford operation, you will develop close working relationships with your planning, training, and supervisory team, and driving colleagues in an organisation that strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment.

Our customers require deliveries during the night; therefore, shifts are expected to start between 23:00 and 01:00am, manual handling will be required at all collection and delivery points. Shift lengths will be governed by needs, capacity and schedules, meaning that drivers will need to have some flexibility with shift starting and finishing times. Shift lengths do vary but you are expected to comply with all Tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations at all times.

Turners can offer employment to suitable newly qualified drivers with limited experience, and full training will be provided to these candidates. We are also keen to engage experienced drivers who can bring expertise and knowledge to our company.

Successful applicants MUST have the following:

• Full LGV C+E) Class 1) licence.
• Driver CPC & Tacho Card.
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
• Tail lift experience is desirable, but training will be given.

• Rates of pay £15.00 per hour Monday to Friday and £17.50 per hour for Sunday.
