Clerk to Governing Body

76 hours per Year Level Scale 5 Point 12 to 17

(£13.69 to £14.91 per hour)

This Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All posts are subject to Enhanced DBS clearance and satisfactory employment history references.

We are looking to recruit a Clerk to Governing Body to be reviewed annually. The position will require hours worked to be submitted to the chair on a monthly basis.

Details of service required:

To Support the Chair of Governors to meet requirements of the role.

To produce paperwork and agenda's in time and ensure distribution of agenda's and paperwork to recipients in a timely manner, to ensure Governing Body effectiveness.

To record attendance at the governing body meetings.

To Advise Governing Body on Legislation and procedural good practice.

To send draft minutes to the Chair within 5 working days of the meeting for approval and then circulate them to all governors.

To ensure the Trust maintains a full record of all governors' business to meet all statutory and audit requirements.

To maintain strict confidentiality.
