An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the Clinical Governance and Risk Department (CGARD) as an Clinical Effectiveness Support Officer This is a fixed term position. The post holder will work closely with the Quality and Effectiveness Coordinator and the Clinical Effectiveness Manager to support local and national audits that provide evidence of clinical effectiveness in the Trust. This post provides essential support to; + The new Clinical Boards with governance updates. + The team with quality assurance activities. + The department ensuring oversight of administrative and ordering functions. NO AGENCIES PLEASE, + Providing information analysis for the Quality Assurance and Clinical Effectiveness team within the Clinical Governance and Risk Department (CGARD). + Using analytical and computer skills to review and share audit data of clinical governance and clinical effectiveness. + Ensure work is completed to a high standard and by the deadlines. + Maintaining excellent communication with the team regarding progress and improvement opportunities.Working for our organisation Our staff oversee over 6,500 patient contacts every day, delivering high standards of healthcare from the following sites:

For further information on The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust please visit: Careers | Newcastle Hospitals | NHS | Newcastle Hospitals and Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, + As required to support National Audits (including NCEPOD) ensuring information submitted is validated, accurate and timely + To support the Corporate Audit programme through participation in data collection and data analysis. + To collect information on team performance in relation to NICE guideline baseline assessments, Policies, National Audits and Clinical Guidelines. + Supporting the Quality and Effectiveness Coordinator to maintain the Policies and Guidelines database. + To collate clinical governance information for the Clinical Boards and share monthly updates in the form of Clinical Board profiles. + To analyse information from the clinical effectiveness register providing regular updates. + Develop spreadsheets and databases as required to reflect the changing requirements of the role. + Provide administrative support to the team and wider department.
