An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Endoscopy Unit in Yeovil District Hospital for a Band 7 Clinical Endoscopy Manager.

We are seeking a compassionate enthusiastic individual, with experience of working in a senior position to join our dynamic Endoscopy service within a recently integrated Trust. You will require excellent communication skills, a team work approach and be able provide a high standard of nursing care with the support of your team. Working innovatively and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to provide high quality safe patient care across our county and region.

The Clinical Endoscopy manager is responsible for leading and managing the clinical team and support the delivery of excellent patient centered high quality care in line with local and Trust governance. Being a role model and advocating patient safety within the endoscopy service, and to provide clinical expertise and act as a resource within Endoscopy.

Being a role model and advocating patient safety within the endoscopy service, and to provide clinical expertise and act as a resource within Endoscopy.

To lead and organise the activities of the Endoscopy unit on a daily basis. To be responsible for nursing standards, manage and maintain workforce levels and attendance, with timely escalating in line with Trust policy. Monitor staff training compliance to support the safe delivery of the service, and decontamination standards and stock control. Ensure the comfort of patients in the unit is upheld whilst addressing challenges that arise to ensure we continuously strive to deliver excellent patient care.

Monitoring productivity and responsible for undertaking nursing workforce review and skill mix assessment. Designated Nursing Lead for JAG compliance. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, be flexible and adaptable in their approach.

To provide and maintain a high standard of evidence based patient centred care. To demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and to have the practical skills reflecting the philosophy of care. To deliver patient care on a daily basis, using the systems in place in the department for a multi-disciplinary approach to patient-centred care delivery.
